Tangalooma beach is spectacular both on the sand and in the sea, with its clear waters and calm conditions. There are great options for food and drinks close to the resorts, while in the water, sports are a favourite with paddleboarders, kayakers and swimmers in absolute paradise. 3. Eastern Beach

The best beaches on the Sunshine Coast also offer excellent conditions for surfing. This side of the island is known to produce some large swells for more experienced surfers to have fun with. However, due to its more rugged conditions, this one of the less kid friendly beaches Sunshine Coast offerings.

4. Kings Beach

Right in the heart of the coastal region, Kings Beach is considered one of the best beaches Sunshine Coast locals enjoy. Kings Beach has many nearby shops should you wish to grab a coffee or bite to eat and a beautiful coastal walk connecting the beaches to the north and south. Although it can be busy due to the area’s popularity, you are sure to feel relaxed in the stress-free environment that is Kings Beach.

Meanwhile, nearby Bulcock beach is another one of the great kid-friendly beaches on the Sunshine Coast with its calm waters and lifeguard patrol. 5. Rainbow Beach

With a name like Rainbow Beach, how could it possibly disappoint? Located at the Northern tip of the Sunshine Coast near Fraser Island, Rainbow Beach is an hour and a half drive from Noosa and not far from double Island Point (more on that later). As it is a bit further away, this is one of the best quiet beaches Sunshine Coast has to offer. The main beach in Noosa is known for its calm, crystal-clear waters that are suitable for all ages. Should you be more inclined to sunbathe, the vast shoreline provides a spot for everyone.

Little Cove Beach is easily accessible along the Noosa coastal boardwalk, which is a highlight on its own. Tucked between Noosa National Park and the main beach, Little Cove Beach is a nicely sheltered sandy beach with rock pools and gentle waves perfect for beginner surfers. Please note, if you are looking for a patrolled beach Sunshine Coast, this is not patrolled, so ensure you are a confident swimmer.
