Around mid-morning we’ve got an appointment for an elegant high tea at the famous Flaxton Gardens in the Hinterland region. This high-class class experience will take an hour and a half while you enjoy the amazing scenic views from the terrace or beautiful gardens. Choose a plunger coffee or pot of tea and 3 delicate sweets and savouries per person.

Montville Village – Chocolate Country

Arriving at the Hinterland Village of Montville, we make our way to the artisan chocolate workshop that is Chocolate Country to make a selection of five chocolate flavours from the range of free form chocolate bars to complete your Belgian Chocolate Sampler Box.

With enticing options that include, Rose and Pistachio, White Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate Double Espresso Shot, Golden Honeycomb, Orange and Almond, Cookies and Cream, and Dark Mint, your leave wondering what the ones you left behind taste like!

The chocolate adventure doesn’t stop there. Chocolate Country has an extensive range of premium Belgian chocolate handcrafted truffles, chocolate bars as well as novelty chocolates and other sweet treats for your perusal and purchase. Sharing your sampler box when you get home is purely optional of course.

Maleny Cheese

With the sweet smell of chocolate still tempting your olfactory nerves, it's time for something a little savoury, and what better than the mouthwatering taste of cheese. This time we stop by Maleny Cheese to wade through the flavours that make up their range of boutique cheeses. Served as a tasting platter with a selection of accompaniments, these handcrafted cheeses pay homage to the time-honoured traditions of cheese making and pure local milk; the true taste of this special region.

Clouds Vineyard  @ The Barrel

Our next stop sees us paying a visit to The Barrel at Clouds Vineyard. Here we set you off on a flight, a wine flight that is. Showcasing wines from the Granite Belt region of Queensland and crafted especially with Clouds in mind. Your first stopover will be Chardonnay, following on to Rosè, then moving to Shiraz, with the final stop at Merlot.

Each flight comes with tasting notes to help you identify those subtle aromas and notes, teasing your nose and running across your pallet. Once you are safely back on the ground we move to our final stop on this day of indulgence.

It’s mid-afternoon and you’ve bought yourself a couple of bottles of local wine to take home and now it’s time to head back down to sea level where you will arrive back in time for a rest before dinner.

Mary Cairncross Rainforest Reserve.

In just moments from leaving Clouds, we arrive at Mary Cairncross Rainforest Reserve, our final stop for the day. With the backdrop of the iconic Glass House Mountains in frame, the only thing missing is you.

It’s time to come together to capture all of you one last time before we return you to where we first met at the beginning of the day. So grab those cameras or mobiles, as we make the most of this photo opportunity and create another memory for you to take with you from the day.

Ready –  wine, chocolate, CHEESE!
